A photographer at the boundary between worlds.
My name is Milen Markov. Photography has been part of my life for many years, and nature remains the place I continually return to. I photograph mountains, caves, the macro world and deep space — realms that appear entirely different, yet share the same sense of the unknown.
At the boundary between worlds
Photography is my way of looking beyond the limits of human vision. I search for places, forms and moments that exist between worlds — between light and darkness, the intimate and the infinitely distant, the visible and what usually remains hidden.
In the mountains, I am drawn to open spaces and changing light. Underground, to silence and a world shaped drop by drop. Through macro photography, I discover universes that exist right beside us yet often go unnoticed. And when I point my camera towards the night sky, the view reaches worlds far beyond the human scale.

“Hidden Worlds” brings these different scales together in a single exhibition space. From the deafening silence of caves, through the unseen beauty of small creatures and the open horizons of mountains, to the light of distant space, it is a journey through the same Universe, revealed in different ways.
