Elata Cave
Elata is an underground landscape so densely decorated that the chamber seems constructed rather than hollowed out. Moving among columns, pendants, and flowstone barriers becomes a careful search for a route through a forest of stone.
Beyond the frame
The richness of cave decoration depends on how water is distributed through the rock above. Each fracture delivers droplets to a different point, and a shift in that route can stop one formation growing while beginning another only centimetres away.
