Tetrastomo Cave
Tetrastomo unfolds in layers—broad vaults, flowstone ribs and deep shadows that prevent the chamber from being understood at a single glance. The cave reveals itself gradually, as though each step adds another room to the space already seen.
Beyond the frame
Large cave chambers rarely have a single history. Enlargement along fractures, roof collapse and the later coating of surfaces with calcite may alternate many times. Their visible architecture is therefore a record of successive stages rather than the result of one process.
